New News!

Sun Oct 30, 2005, 1:54 PM
Hey there all you Dev Head's!
Thanks to all who have stopped by my sight and left comments, crits, favs, and added me to be watched! Thanks a lot!
As for news, I have had some pretty exciting stuff happen, Firstly, my first every peice of published work appeared in Speakeasy's Hero@Large!!! Look in the back and there you will see one of my favorite characters 'Diesel' from the first issue. Special thanks to Erick Hogan and Crisis for that! Oh, and if you have any doubts about this title, pick up a copy of the latest Wizard and read the secret stash. You won't regret picking this up!
More good news! I just recieved my acceptance letter from the Joe Kubert school of art and design! Not sure if I'll be able to attend, still have to crunch some numbers, but good news still!

Well, that's it for now, thanks again everyone!

School is now in Session!!!!

Mon Sep 12, 2005, 7:19 PM
Hey everyone, it's that time of the year again! Back to school for me, but finally my last one...man-o-man I cannot wait to graduate.

As far as drawing goes, I'm putting all the time I can now into a new series from Atomic Pop Art. Not really sure what I can say about it other than it's going to rock your socks. Awesome concept and characters, it's a real joy to be part of the team. So, if I post less often it's because I'm doing school stuff or drawing this book and can't post, but I'll see if I can't pull a few strings and put a couple images up for you all.

Other than that and a butt load of reading things have been pretty calm, but I do have a question for you all. I went to visit the Joe Kubert School of Art and Design last year and thought it seemed like a great place. However I have heard some negative things about the school as well as the good and was wondering what others have heard or experienced? So, please let me know your opinions because the application is sitting on my desk right now.

Thank you all,

-Chad

Back From Chicago

Wed Aug 10, 2005, 6:40 AM
Hey Everyone!
I'm back from my trip to Wizard World Chicago, my first convention ever, and I have to say I had a great time and it's nice to know I'm not alone, tons of people from collectors to artists, it was great! I brought my portfolio, mini-comics, and a outline for the book I've been working on and presented it to AP Comics, Alias, Ape Entertainment, Speakeasy, and some others. Not sure if anyone will bite, but everyone was nice and gave me some great comments on my pages! I was happy, I guess I thought most pro artists and editors were going to torch it, but it really seemed they liked what they saw! The editor at Ape actually said he'd like to see some pages from me and it supposed to call or something, so that's pretty neat!
I also got to meet some of my heroes and find some new one's. I met Skottie Young, Ryan Ottley (invincible), Robert Kirkman, J Bleep (urban sequence), and Devart's favorite son Sean 'Cheeks' Galloway, who is a very cool dude. Actually everyone I met was very, very nice!
So I got to hang out with everyone, look at all the cool art and creators and have a great time, it rocked! In fact, I'm thinking of maybe getting a booth of my own for next year!
And now that the Con is over, my mini-comic is done, and school is almost here again, I think I'm going to hunt down a colorist to do a few pages, send out some submission packages, and get to work on a few other projects I havn't devoted enough time to lately.

Thanks again Everyone!

July, 7th 05'

Hey everyone!

Thankyou too everyone whose added me to their favorites and friends lists, it really means a lot to me! Your comments and views are helping me to produce even more work, so please keep writing and i'll keep drawing!

News: Well, tomorrow is my last day of figure drawing class (a HUGE help), thus ending summer classes all together *whew* then its more drawing comic stuff. I'm working on inking my stuff to bring to the chicago comic con (just ordered my tickets yay!), then clean it up, throw some sound effects and things in. if anyone knows of a talented colorist who wouldn't mind throwing some colors down on 4 or 5 pages for cheap let me know cuz i'll be looking.
Then its getting started in a brand new project which is still hush hush but I'll share anything I can, I think you'll all like it.

And thats it, thanks again everyone, your a big help!
